Lauren Hidden

Lauren Hidden, owner of The Hidden Helpers is an author, editor, writing coach and certified professional virtual author assistant. Working with professionals in a variety of industries, Lauren helps her clients get their messages across clearly, concisely, and persuasively.

Lauren has edited dozens of books, including memoirs, business books, and novels. While she enjoys all types of editing and proofreading, she’s been told she has a special gift for content editing—ensuring the information is logical, flowing, and consistent. As a professional virtual author assistant, she also enjoys helping future and current authors breathe easier by handling the varied tasks involved in planning, creating, and marketing their books.

Lauren has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Journalism from Shippensburg University. Before launching her own business, she worked in the public relations department of a Fortune 500 company and as a caseworker for the local agency on aging.

Lauren is a dedicated volunteer, serving as the past Director of Research and Development and the past Marketing Director for the International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA) and as the past Secretary for the Central Pennsylvania Association for Female Executives. She also occasionally guest teaches in local public secondary schools.

Lauren is the co-author of two books:Write It Right: The Ground Rules for Self-Editing Like the Pros with Dawn Josephson, and Entrepreneurial Freedom: How To Start and Grow a Profitable Virtual Assistance Practice with Jeannine Clontz.

Lauren works with clients all over the U.S. and overseas, but calls the Harrisburg, PA area her home. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends.
